Alarm! Our friends must stay! – Circle of Friends of Refugee Solidarity in SI

Stop deportation - in crises, hunger wars and environmental disasters! Combat the causes of flight! Active against the acute danger of a 3rd World War!

We, the members of the Friends of Refugee Solidarity from Dresden and Leipzig, are sounding the alarm: Last night the police tried to quickly and brutally deport friends and members of the Friends to Nigeria! Apartments were inspected, a friend arrested and taken to Frankfurt Airport like a criminal, others terrified. You and all those affected by the deportation terror deserve our full solidarity!
• Immediate stop of deportations in crises, hunger wars and environmental catastrophes!
• For the unrestricted right to asylum on an anti-fascist basis!
• We strongly criticize the hypocrisy of the SPD-GREEN-FDP government - it acts as a "guardian" of human rights and democracy, while being deported to hunger, crises, war and environmental disasters in the middle of nowhere!
• Combat the causes of flight instead of refugees: No to arms deliveries and billions of armament programs! Together against the threatening danger of a third nuclear world war!
Fortunately, yesterday's collective deportation (Frankfurt) had to be canceled due to engine damage on the plane - but the project is not off the table.

Write solidarity greetings to those affected and protest to the immigration authorities, the Saxon State Directorate and the BAMF (we will be happy to pass this on). About 3 years ago, our friends fled Nigeria and Biafra because they were being persecuted, humiliated, terrorized, oppressed, threatened by hunger, misery, police violence and Islamist-fascist terror. Each of them has their own dramatic and moving story! Risking their lives, they fought their way to Germany: across the Mediterranean, through Libyan torture prisons, hidden in trucks or across Charkiv/Ukraine, where they again had to flee war. Since then they have been struggling to have their reasons for fleeing recognized. While the German Foreign Office warns against traveling to Nigeria and overwhelming evidence confirms the catastrophic situation in Nigeria, the Federal Office for Migration (BAMF) insists - bureaucratically and inhumanely - that Nigeria is a "safe country of origin". Reading the BAMF rejection justifications is a glimpse into the abyss of inhumanity: with text modules, insinuations and racist derailments (- so return is reasonable because the people there don't know any different-), applications and often laboriously obtained evidence are ironed out ice cold. All of our friends' efforts to integrate are also mocked: they all learn German, go to work or fight for work permits and training, volunteer, for example in church communities or in the Friends of Refugee Solidarity! While in the companies colleagues have to work even harder due to a lack of workers, good employees like them are being pushed away at night and fog! –
