9.8.2021Alassa Mfouapon is to be deported again!

Alassa Mfouapon after the trial in Ellwangen on June 21, 2020

August 9, 2021: Current press release:

Alassa Mfouapon's application for asylum was rejected as "manifestly unfounded" and he was given a week to leave the country or face deportation to Cameroon. To the country that he had to leave with his family because, as a religiously mixed couple, their lives had been attempted there.

That Alassa Mfouapon has meanwhile developed into an activist for human rights, that he has become a spokesman for the von organization of refugee solidarity he co-founded, now makes him a particular target of the federal government's reactionary and aggressive refugee policy. He defied the smear campaign by Bild-Zeitung and AfD, supported in solidarity by many refugees and other people in solidarity. He sued the state of Baden-Württemberg and achieved a conviction from the highest court for the brutal police attack on refugees in the LEA Ellwangen in May 2018. He has started an apprenticeship, pays taxes, and now speaks German in addition to many other languages - all of this shows that he has become a well-integrated citizen of this country with a strong democratic awareness and high social responsibility. But apparently also a danger for the authorities in view of the further intensification of the refugee deportation policy, which dares to describe civil war countries like Afghanistan as "safe countries of origin" and with this lie deports people to their deaths! So does “integration” simply mean slacking off? Is this understood to mean renouncing the exercise of guaranteed democratic and human rights? Do you have to sell your dignity to live and work in this country?

Alassa Mfouapon is not alone, he will receive solidarity support!

Here is the English translation:

REfugee activist Alassa Mfouapon in danger of being deported again!

Alassa Mfouapon's asylum application was rejected as "obviously unfounded" and he was given one week to leave the country, otherwise he would be deported to Cameroon. This is the country he had to leave with his family because their lives were threatened as a religiously mixed couple.

The fact that Alassa Mfouapon has since become an activist for human rights, that he has become the spokesperson for the Refugee Solidarity organization he co-founded, which is recognized by many refugees, now makes him a special target of the reactionary and aggressive refugee policy of the German government. He defined the smear campaign of Bild-Zeitung and AfD, supported in solidarity by many refugees and other people in solidarity. He filed a lawsuit against the state of Baden-Württemberg and achieved a high court condemnation of the brutal police assault on refugees in the LEA Ellwangen in May 2018. He has started an education, pays taxes, now speaks German as well as many other languages – all this shows that he has become a well-integrated citizen of this country with a pronounced democratic consciousness and high social responsibility. But obviously also a danger for the authorities in view of the further tightening of the refugee deportation policy, which dares to call civil war countries like Afghanistan "safe countries of origin" and uses this lie to deport people to their death! Does "integration" simply mean shirking one's duties? Is it understood to mean renouncing the exercise of guaranteed democratic and human rights? Do you have to sell your dignity to be allowed to live and work in this country?
