Appeal proceedings in the Alassa Mfouapon case against the state of Baden-Württemberg
In February 2021, the lawyer for the federal spokesman from the Friends of Refugee Solidarity,
Alassa Mfouapon, successfully sued; the Administrative Court of Stuttgart had Alassa Mfouapon
Given right: The arbitrary police measures against him and thus everyone else
Residents of the state initial reception facility (LEA) Ellwangen in connection with the
Police storming of the LEA in the early morning of May 3, 2018 were disproportionate and
therefore illegal.
But what the court did not recognize: That the rooms of Alassa Mfouapon and the others
Refugees in the accommodation are to be recognized as an apartment within the meaning of Article 13 of the Basic Law. That
The court thus denied the refugees the fundamental right of inviolability
apartment, which should actually be a matter of course. This is unacceptable and
that's why Alassa Mfouapons is appealing with his lawyer, Roland Meister,
also against how he was treated by the police when he was deported to Italy in June 2018
Important rights under the Basic Law and the European Convention on Human Rights are
not divisible, but must apply to everyone.
The hearing is on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 10 a.m., Mannheim Administrative Court,
