Solidarity letter to Sali Krasniqi's family

To the family of Sali Krasniqi

We mourn with you for your father, grandfather and great-grandfather Sali Krasniqi, who died so tragically after being deported to Kosovo. Our deepest sympathy goes to the family and his wife Mire. Like you, we demand their immediate return to Germany!

It was incredibly cruel to deport the two from their home in the Biberach district to Kosovo on October 12 after they had lived in Germany with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren for almost 29 years. Sali's serious illness, his heart operations, and the urgent need for regular medical care left the deportation machinery of the German authorities, the immigration authorities in Biberach and the regional councils of Tübingen and Karlsruhe, completely cold. Even the 40,000 signatures of people in solidarity against the deportation or for immediate repatriation were callously ignored, the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg even defended the procedure.

This inhuman practice by the German authorities must be stopped! Minister of the Interior Strobl and those responsible in the green-black state government must be held accountable for this act, because they consciously accepted Sali's death!

The only thing that counts for them is the implementation of the misanthropic EU refugee policy, which is being promoted to a large extent by German Interior Minister Seehofer. The same politics are also responsible for daily unspeakable suffering in the mass camps on the Greek islands and in Bosnia.

Your grief and that of many who grieve with you will turn into determination to attack this policy in the strongest possible terms: every victim is one too many, every human life counts!

The Friends of Refugee Solidarity and its lawyers have filed an application to initiate preliminary proceedings at the International Criminal Court (ICC): Ursula von der Leyen, Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron, as those responsible for EU refugee policy, must be tried and punished for crimes against humanity !

In order to fight the EU refugee policy effectively, we need a broad alliance and the full commitment of all progressive people throughout Europe! We are committed to this with all our hearts - for a right to flee on an anti-fascist basis and against deportations!

With warm solidarity greetings

To the family of Sali Krasniqi

We mourn with you the loss of your father, grandfather and great-grandfather Sali Krasniqi, who died so tragically after being deported to Kosovo. Our deepest sympathy goes to the family and his wife Mire. Like you, we demand your immediate return to Germany!

It was unbelievably cruel to deport them both from their home in the Biberach district to Kosovo on 12 October, after they had lived there for almost 29 years in Germany surrounded by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sali's serious illness, his heart operations, the urgent need for regular medical care, left the deportation machinery of the German authorities, the Biberach Foreigners Authority and the Regional Councils of Tübingen and Karlsruhe, completely cold. Even the 40,000 signatures of people in solidarity against the deportation or for immediate return were callously ignored, and the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg even defended the procedure.

This inhumane practice of the German authorities must be stopped! Interior Minister Strobl as well as those responsible in the green-black state government must be held accountable for this act, because they deliberately accepted Sali's death!

For them, the only thing that counts is the implementation of the EU's anti-human refugee policy, which is decisively driven forward by the German Interior Minister Seehofer. The same policy is also responsible for the daily unspeakable suffering in the mass camps on the Greek islands and in Bosnia.

Your grief and that of many people who grieve with you will turn into determination to attack this policy in the strongest possible terms: every victim is one too many, every human life matters!
